Speaking
Performing Since 6 Years Old
I am a performer from way back. Since I was about 6 years old I acted, danced, sang and played musical instruments for my parents, school events, eisteddfods and the local choral society. My claim to fame was playing piccolo in the marching band for the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Nowadays I get my performance kicks dancing in front of the tv with my kids and doing professional speaking gigs at various events.

My Goal
It is true that I am a lawyer by trade, but I think there are more than enough boring, monotone lawyers who can recite legislation at you. I aim to be entertaining as well as educational and I don’t feel right unless we’ve had some laughs. Maybe it’s my performance background, or my personality quirks, or the fact that I live in relaxing tropical north Queensland or a combination of those things. Whatever it is, I like to find the way to make my topic user friendly and fun and to get a real connection with my audience.
My favourite things to talk about are business law, intellectual property law, starts ups, social media, women in law and working while parenting.
I am ready at a moment’s notice to talk about :
- Trade marks and brand protection
- IP for small business
- Social Media Legalities
- Negotiation Skills
- Working mum life
